I am a postdoctoral associate at the Samuel DuBois Cook Center on Social Equity at Duke University. My work focuses on inequality, environment economics, applied microeconomics, and political economy. I am interested in the causes and consequences of, and solutions to, pervasive inequality, with particular emphasis on understanding and examining group-based inequality. My work has appeared in places such as The Washington Post, The American Prospect, The Nation, The Atlantic, Jacobin, and Washington Monthly. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
