About My Work
My PhD research focuses on the economic action of Belgian public authorities, with a particular focus on local authorities. In our society, deeply marked by neoliberal ideology, the importance of having strong state actors in the market is decisive. Public authorities needs to rethink the framework and modalities of their economic action, which is not limited to obviating the perverse effects of the market but whose essential function is to limit private interests in the general interest.
